Position Summary:

The Business Performance Analyst, Associate, extracts KPI and budget data for analysis, leadership support and responses to ad hoc data requests. The incumbent maintains operations tools & databases ensuring that it is kept up to date using data from various PG&E systems. He/She develops, maintains and enhances operational metric database tools for the broader analytics team(s). The Analyst identifies and solves current gaps in data requirements and ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership inquiries.

 

  • DATA PROCESSING: Creates automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
  • DATA EXTRACTS AND FILE TRANSFERS: Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.
  • DATA ANALYSIS: Analyzes data using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.
  • REPORTING: Develops and communicates clear, concise and actionable data analyses for clients.

 

Disclosure:

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

Salary Range: 

Bay Area: $70,000 - $96,800

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with analysis for KPIs, budget/forecast analysis, and reporting
  • Develops and maintains basic knowledge of data analysis techniques.
  • Works on routine assignments with limited scope and complexity.
  • Assists in creating automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing
  • Assists in extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.
  • Performs routine to straightforward data analysis using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports as needed

 

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience

 

Desired:

  • Prior related work experience desired
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel/Access (complex formulas, graphing, VBA)
  • Basic understanding of technical and business concepts
  • Good analytical capabilities; affinity for identifying trends and actions following those trends
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
