Department Summary
Marketing and Communications develops and executes a broad range of strategic external and internal communications initiatives. The team provides counsel to all functional areas and manages PG&E’s marketing and corporate branding programs.
Position Summary
The Advertising & Social Brand Producer, Expert is the operational engine behind PG&E’s brand, advertising, and social ecosystem. While in this role, you will serve as a senior producer and integrator—owning planning, project management, and executional coordination to ensure work moves efficiently from strategy to launch across teams and channels.
Reporting to the Director, Brand, Advertising & Social, you will partner closely with Brand Strategy, Social, Video, Analytics, Community Management, agencies, and cross‑functional stakeholders. You will bring structure to complex workstreams, establish clarity around timelines and ownership, and enable strong creative and social teams to do their best work—on time and at scale.
This is a highly visible role that requires strong judgment, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead through influence.
The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office 1-2 days per week or based on business needs. Additional travel within the service territory for learning or content capture may be required. This role will also participate in on-call rotation to support the emergency operations center (located in Vacaville, CA) when activated.
Key Job Responsibilities
Integrated Planning & Project Management:
- Own integrated planning across brand, advertising, and social, including master calendars, timelines, and dependencies.
- Lead project management using Workfront (or similar tools), ensuring clear ownership, deadlines, and approval workflows.
- Establish consistent processes for planning, reviews, and delivery across teams.
- Identify risks early and proactively resolve bottlenecks to keep work moving forward.
Production & Shoot Planning:
- Plan and coordinate brand and social shoots, including schedules, asset needs, and deliverables.
- Partner with Video and Social teams to ensure efficient content capture that supports both campaign and always‑on needs.
- Oversee asset delivery and readiness across channels.
Cross‑Functional Coordination:
- Function as the primary connective tissue across Brand Strategy, Social, Video, Analytics, Community Management, agencies, and internal partners.
- Wrangle schedules, calendars, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and momentum.
- Navigate competing priorities with diplomacy, clarity, and a solution-oriented mindset.
Operational Excellence & Enablement:
- Bring structure and rigor to teams that are strong creatively but need operational support.
- Standardize ways of working while allowing flexibility where needed.
- Ensure work adheres to PG&E brand standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 6 years of experience in brand, advertising, content, or integrated production.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated expertise in project management tools and workflows (Workfront preferred).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
- High emotional intelligence and comfortable leading without direct authority.
- Experience supporting large‑scale brand or advertising campaigns.
- Familiarity with social content production and publishing workflows.
- Experience working in regulated, enterprise, or highly matrixed environments.
Compensation
PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
