Department Overview:

System Automation Compliance's core function is to support/monitor the compliance and/or risk management framework & tools that enable the organization and employees to conduct business in compliance with applicable standards, laws & regulations, and/or to identify, manage, and mitigate operational risk. System Automation Compliance's supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the framework for compliance and/or risk management.

 

The team supports revisions to the compliance and/or risk programs and tools as needed based on changes to applicable laws, regulations, and standards. For risk management, develop and maintains a risk register, coordinating with various risk owners to track operational & enterprise risks and the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities.

 

Position Summary:

The Planner manages asset management processes by gathering and maintaining asset data, risk assessment, analysis, data mining for compliance reporting and program metrics. They create equipment and maintenance plans in the work management system module of SAP. They partner with field maintenance supervisors to create schedules and update asset records.

 

Disclosure:

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. 

 

The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Pay Range: 

 

  • Minimum:  $97,000
  • Midpoint:  $121,000
  • Maximum:  $144,000

 

Job Description:

  • Works with supervisors and field specialists to optimize preventive maintenance programs. Identifies any excesses or deficiencies in the preventive maintenance system. Proactively looks for improvement opportunities, discusses and resolves requests to modify standard maintenance schedules to optimize work, productivity and cost.
  • Works independently to research issues and resolve problems requiring evaluation of several variables. Identifies interrelations and linkages.  Uses advanced knowledge to research and provide information and recommendation to the local headquarters leader to ensures work orders in SAP are correct and completed timely.
  • Participates in annual compliance audits. Runs reports for compliance audits for various regulators such as North American Energy Reliability Corporation (NERC), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), California Independent System Operator (CAISO), California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), etc. Ensures records provided are complete and accurate. Partners with local headquarters leadership and staff while using experience and advanced knowledge of electric utility equipment maintenance processes and procedures to research and resolve audit record discrepancies.
  • Leads department initiatives and acts as point person for inter-departmental projects, ensuring required data and information is provided on time. Consults with project leads in other departments on process changes and improvements to best meet new initiative needs. Prepares recommendations for Supervisor/Manager review.
  • Develops training materials and job aids for clerks in the field regarding SAP work management and related maintenance procedures and processes. Leads regular training conference calls. Plans and leads in person sessions and annual workshops.Develops knowledge of maintenance planning for multiple departments and types of electric assets. Utilizes Work Management System in SAP for asset management of automation systems.
  • Utilizes Work Management System in SAP to support local maintenance headquarters with preventative orders (T180), corrective orders (T080), open notifications, Critical Operating Equipment (COE) and service advisories. Runs monthly reports to track completed units related to automation systems.Communicates regularly with Substation and System Protection Asset & Maintenance Planners for coordinating asset management in SAP WM. Proficient in reading and understanding electrical single line meter & relay diagrams, Schematic diagrams and operating diagrams.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or GED  
  • Four (4) years of total relevant experience in work management

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
