Position Summary
The Senior Business Performance Analyst supports execution performance initiatives across Electric Operations, with a focus on the Joint Electric Operations and Electric Engineering Weekly Operating Review (Electric WOR). This role blends business analysis, program coordination, and Lean execution to help drive data-informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and operational alignment. The analyst contributes to the development and refinement of WOR practices, supports visual management and reporting, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure effective meeting execution and follow-through. This role reports into the Electric Performance and Reporting team and works closely with program leads, Lean coaches, and operational stakeholders.
This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. The headquarters’ location is in Dublin, CA. There will be occasional travel to other PG&E sites for workshops and reviews.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $102,000
Bay Area Mid-Point: $132,000
Bay Area Maximum: $162,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Job Responsibilities
Operating Review Support
• Support the weekly execution of the Electric WOR, including agenda preparation, meeting logistics, and action item documentation.
• Maintain visual management tools to track KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Customer, Cost, and Morale (SQDCM).
• Coordinate pre-read and post-read materials and support wall display setup.
• Manage action items, coordinating with owners to confirm statuses and drive resolution.
Lean Execution & Process Improvement
• Identify and develop process improvements to drive updates to WOR processes.
• Support change management to effectively scope, execute, track, communicate, and monitor continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist in benchmarking efforts and develop and communicate feedback to stakeholders.
Performance Analytics & Reporting
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Foundry, and Excel to monitor KPIs.
• Ensure consistency in visual formats and reporting templates.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Build collaborative relationships with contributors across Electric Operations and Engineering.
• Support communication between Performance Management and functional teams.
Qualifications
Minimum:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, performance management, or operations within a utility or regulated industry.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Desired:
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with Electric Operations and Engineering environments.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
• Experience with PG&E systems and tools (Foundry, Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional initiatives and change management.
