Department Overview

This role supports Construction Management, which ensures the delivery of safe and reliable service to customers. The department is responsible for planning, engineering, maintenance, construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.

 

Position Summary

The Business Analyst Expert conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support business decision-making, strategy, and operations. The role participates in business process improvement, quality control, and change management initiatives, and develops innovative solutions to address complex business issues.

 

Disclosure:

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. 

 

The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Pay Range: 

  • Minimum:  $114,00
  • Midpoint:  $148,00
  • Maximum:  $182,00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to wide-ranging business issues. Conduct data analysis and develop business cases to support strategic initiatives.
  • Design and implement performance and quality assessments, process re-engineering, and change management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain complex data models with cross-functional impact. Prepare and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Directors and Managers across multiple functions. May provide guidance and coaching to other Business Analysts. Participate in communication and training programs related to process changes.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
  • Six (6) years of related work experience.

Desired:

  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong understanding of business process improvement and change management.
  • Ability to develop innovative data solutions and present complex findings clearly.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
