Department Overview

 

The Wildfire, Emergency and Operations (WEO) organization is responsible for oversight of PG&E’s wildfire operations and associated mitigations. The organization is responsible for the development and maintenance of consistent processes and work standards associated with sustainable wildfire and emergency response preparedness operations in line with our regulatory policies and practices. WEO partners with leaders in Energy Delivery and other parts of the business to develop and recommend a strategic direction for emergency preparedness, emergency response and public partnerships

 

Position Summary

 

 

The Learning and Development Operations Support role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities. These include overseeing roster completion, session, and course creation, managing enrollments and cancellations, and assigning key resources to scheduled events. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with line of business leaders to plan, forecast, schedule, and implement enterprise-wide training initiatives, and coordinating complex processes such as apprentice programs, On-the-Job Training, off-site location booking, materials management, and more. This position also requires maintaining the integrity of training data within SAP through developing and enforcing quality control measures that support governance processes and procedures.

 

 

Further responsibilities include implementing technology projects within the respective school to ensure process consistency, providing consulting on operational and learning technology capabilities to delivery and curriculum teams, and promoting efficient, automated processes through Continuous Improvement efforts. The role also involves providing leadership, training, and guidance to team members, contractors, and temporary staff within the school, creating training manuals and other documentation for cross-training and knowledge transfer purposes, and participating in ad hoc project requests such as coordinating Statements of Work with vendors, approving invoices, and setting up third-party training contracts.

 

Location is flexible between Rocklin or Concord headquarters, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need. 

 

Position will require approximately 30% of travel time in work schedule (with some overnight stays). 

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $28.37 to $45.19

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

Job Responsibilities


•    Oversee roster completion, session creation, course creation, managing enrollment and cancellations, assigning key resources to scheduled events; close out Help Desk tickets related to school
•    Work with Academy leaders to plan, forecast, schedule and implement enterprise-wide training initiatives
•    Coordinate complex processes, including apprentice programs, On-the-Job Training, structured learning paths, off-site location booking, materials management, catering, travel arrangements, scheduling facilitators, and other tasks as required
•    Maintain integrity of training data within SAP by developing and enforcing quality control in support of governance processes and procedures
•    Implement technology projects within respective school, such as iPads; ensure process consistency
•    Provide consulting around operational and learning technology capabilities to delivery and curriculum teams
•    Actively promote and lead efforts toward more efficient, automated processes through Continuous Improvement efforts, ensuring seamlessness operational support and a consistent, centralized business approach
•    Provide leadership, training and guidance to lower level team members, as well as contractors and temporary staff, within own school. This includes the assigning and prioritizing of work for staff.
•    Create training manuals, job aids, process maps and other documentation for cross-training and knowledge transfer purposes
•    Participate in ad hoc project requests as needed (i.e. coordinate SOW with vendor and sourcing, approve vendor invoices, data requests, proctoring tests, set up 3rd Party Training contracts, etc.)

 

Qualifications-

 

Minimum Qualifications:  
•    High School or General Education Development (GED) diploma
•    4 years of combined experience working within a training organization and/or SAP or other Learning Management System (LMS) or equivalent

Desired Qualifications:
•    2 years providing informal leadership within team
•    Bachelor’s in Learning, Business Administration, Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
•    Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies, as well as process mapping tools.
