Department Overview 

The Business System & Analytics team, under Customer Operations, is focused on delivering an excellent customer experience for each of our internal and external customers. The team, consisting of Project Managers, Information Systems Analysts, Business Process Analysts, and Database Administrators, provide SmartMeter and MV90 application support, exception resolution and process automation.

 

Position Summary 

 

The Business Process Analyst position will work with a team in resolving SmartMeter data issues.  This includes conducting research, data analysis, resolving interface and data synchronization exceptions, identifying root causes, reporting monthly metrics and managing databases.  Participating in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives.  Developing, managing and coordinating performance tools and participating in testing application upgrades and delivery of communications and training. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

 

  • Manage and support the data synchronization database and tool
  • CC&B Knowledge
  • Support project documentation via SharePoint
  • Oversee and resolve Gas & Electric SmartMeter data issues
  • Support current state process mapping and identify process improvements
  • Full understanding and support of the Aclara STAR Network Gas application, including upgrade testing
  • Support Meter Data Management System (MDMS) validation exceptions
  • Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders.
  • Manages small size projects.
  • Performs analysis on large volumes of data, develop Access databases and customized reports.

 

 Qualifications

 

Minimum:

Bachelor of Science of Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience

2 years of related work experience

 

 Desired: 

 

  • Broad knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics
  • Strong problem-solving skills to develop solutions
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management
  • Familiar with SmartMeter™ technology
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio or similar software
  • Proficiency in building Access Databases and running queries
  • Basic-level of process mapping experience, yellow belt certification preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with demanding time constraints
