Position Summary

Analyzes processes and utilizes six sigma, lean and other techniques to develop and recommend operational process improvements. Engages with cross functional teams and partners with peers and leaders on process change implementation and ongoing measurement. Leverages various technological platforms to develop and/or recommend solutions to internal customers. Provides business analytics by conducting research, data analysis, metric implementation, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations.

To obtain and maintain employment and unescorted access at DCPP, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check, psychological screen, computer-based training, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.


PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

 

A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $65,000
California Maximum: $97,000

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis to support implementation of process performance improvement initiatives. Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
  • Assists others using established processes, practices and procedures as directed.
  • Applies technical expertise in the areas of statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data visualization and data management to make recommendations on process related solutions.    
  • Compiles presentations and training material, making recommendations on solutions / process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Develops and tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations or risk assessment.
  • Learning to apply concepts, developing technical/ professional skill set.
  • Communicates (oral and written) with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data.
  • Typically receives general instructions on routine assignments, and more detailed instructions on new assignments or projects. Primary focus is working with peers within department.
  • Tracks project completion.
  • Works on the more straightforward projects. Uses established processes and practices to complete work assignments within established parameters.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience

 

Desired:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent experience
  • Nuclear experience
  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Residence within 50 miles of job or headquarters
