The Energy Policy and Procurement (EPP) organization manages electric and gas procurement to ensure reliable supply (e.g. meet the gas and electric needs of our customers 24 hours a day), reduce customer costs and price risk, minimize shareholder risk, andsupport environmentally preferred resources.
Energy Settlements Information Management (ESIM) is a group within Energy Policy Procurement (EPP) that is responsible for Energy Settlement systems reliability and information management. In addition ESIM isalso responsible for the timely submittal of accurate Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) to the California ISO (CAISO). Settlement Quality Meter Data (SQMD) are the end result of a complex series of application processes and data flows, which are utilized by boththe CAISO to produce invoices and settlements and by PG&E (and other utilities and energy providers) to reconcile their records with CAISO results. The management of SQMD operations is the function and responsibility of the Settlements Analyst.
This position will coordinate system and information related requirements within the Electric Settlements, IT and partner organizations within PG&E, as well as between PG&E and the CAISO. In addition to info managementrelated duties, Analysts will work with numerous cross-functional teams related to department goals.
Minimum Qualifications: *High School or GED – General Education Develpment – GED Diploma *1 year of relevant professionalexperience to include: o Professional experience in business systems and data analysis, including maintaining Microsoft Excel spreadsheets o Experience providing first-line production support for business information systems designed toproduce results in support of enterprise-wide operations o Experience in SQL, Tableau report development, and developing and maintaining Microsoft Access

*Collaborate with business partners to identify business requirements, develop functional specifications, and prioritize information technology work for IT. *Perform data analysis with IT and within Electric Settlements inensuring settlement related data quality, accuracy and timeliness for all end users. *Function as Electric Settlements representative for IT change control management. Review all IT changes related to Electric Settlements. Recommend additions, changes,deletions or ‘go-as’ as appropriate. *Monitor Load and Generation meter data behavior to ensure accuracy prior to CAISO submission. *Research and troubleshoot any Electric Settlement data issues between upstream and downstream partners or applicationsystems. *Manage all Electric Settlement systems access control and SOX control *Recovery and Business Continuity planning and exercises, and annual CAISO SQMD audit. *Provide ad-hoc Settlement Operation analytical and data request support. *Develop and apply strategies to streamline activities and introduce process improvements for the team. *Lead or participate in projects, as assigned, which may be at team, department or enterprise levels. *Lead or participate in continuous processimprovement to seek ongoing productivity, quality, and efficiency.
